[Surface treatment) Before painting, the inner and outer walls must be firm, dry, clean and free of floating ash. The following different methods can be adopted according to the situation:
●Ensure that the new wall (unpainted) is fully dry, and the concrete and plastered walls should have sufficient curing period. The temperature of the wall, the warm seat of the masonry and mortar walls should be below 10%.
The alkalinity of the cement wall and the alkalinity of the concrete and cement mortar wall should ensure that the pH value is less than 10. Use appropriate tools to remove the ash and slag and protrusions on the wall surface.
Fine greasy dirt and dust should be cleaned with a neutral detergent or solvent, or by scrubbing with a damp cloth, to completely remove all stains. Repair large aggregates and depressions on the wall surface with cement sand vegetables:
Small holes and cracks that cannot be filled with paint should be repaired with a special waterproof putty for exterior walls (try local repairs as much as possible). After using the repair material, the wall should be thoroughly dried and smoothed.
●Old wall (unpainted) First check the condition of the wall, and deal with the above-mentioned methods according to different surface defects. Remove floating dust from the wall. Use high-pressure water to remove mold or flowers that grow on the wall, rinse with clean water, and apply crystal leaf sealant after drying.
●The original coating of the old wall (painted with latex paint) should be adhered to the wall. Due to erosion, the pulverized layer can be removed with a high-pressure water gun and dried. When the old coating film is partially damaged, use appropriate tools to remove the damaged coating film to the edge of the still firm part, and repair the well. When the old coating film is damaged and has chalking phenomenon, it should be shoveled up and repaired to flatten the wall, and then apply the crystal leaf sealing agent to seal it.
The old coating film with texture can be directly recoated if the surface is firm; otherwise, the interface method needs to be used.
